It’s been an incredible privilege to have been entrusted with the build of the @dface_official MK1 Mini Cooper S.

Put together by @scott9308, the brief was to create a road car with as many FIA-spec parts as possible, but still be safe and drivable on public roads.

The combination of these parts and the artistic direction of Dean (D*Face) makes this one of the most exciting and creative Minis in the world.

It was a pleasure to have Greg's ‘67 Mk1 Cooper in at Brightwell. Greg bought this car recently at auction but quickly realised that in order to make this one of the most authentic Coopers on the road it needed a little attention.

The car was handed over to our very own Mini expert @scott9308 who went over the car with a fine tooth comb and produced a comprehensive authentiticy and mechanical inspection. Here are just a few jobs we carried out:

- Replaced side window glass with our own remanufactured items (which we have for sale please DM if interested)
- Fit the missing chrome door moulding’s
- Fit new windscreen
- Car had a commercial heater fitted, which we replaced with the correct passenger car type, restored in-house
- replace the gearstick with a correct chromed Cooper item
- Replace the seat belts with grey period-correct items
- replace incorrect door hardware
- Supplied and fitted correct 100mph speedo
